StepUp Air

About the project

StepUp Air is developing a fitness tracker based on breathing measurement, besides the other common parameters such as heart rate. We will offer as well a connected app to display the data collected by our device. This will help anyone to train as close to their personal limit as possible.

Current status

We are entrepreneurial pilot for a year (Iværksætterpilot – Innovationsfonden), which means having funds and consultancy. We have built a functional prototype, but still need to improve it and code the app before starting the tests. We will also be incorporated by next month.

The team behind

Charles Gayot and Josephine Robert are the co-founders, both former student at DTU. We both gather multidisciplinary competencies. A software student and a former high level athlete help us in the development of the product.

Edea

About the project

Edea is a smaller business developing mobile applications, especially targeting the health care sector. Currently the researchers already collect data through pen and paper-surveys filled out by the patient, which requires a lot of paperwork from both sides, and is very prone to errors along the way. Our apps assist in collecting cohort and patient data in an easy and efficient way.

As the smartphone is an integrated part of many peoples everyday life, we now exploit this opportunity to collect data in a safe and stable way. This means that the risk of losing data is minimized.

Our experience tells us that it is easier for the patients to remember to fill out a form on their mobile as opposed to a paper version, as we here have a possibility of reminding the patient to answer it. This means that the number of missing data values will be decreased, and instead of requiring the researcher to manually input the patient data into a spreadsheet, which may be susceptible to typing errors, the data is instead stored such that it is readily available for the researcher to import into their analysis tool of choice.

Tempus Nordic

About the project

Most people have tried to wait in line at the doctor’s office even if they booked an appointment in advance. Tempus Nordic is developing a platform that enables patients to see if their doctor is running behind schedule, thus warning them in advance so they won’t be stuck in a waiting room for an unknown amount of time.

Current status

After researching the market by talking to doctors and patients alike, the prototype is being developed and the structure of the platform is being set.

The team behind

Johan Poulsen (Doctor), Hans Christian (Professor of mathematics), Nick Severingsen (Entrepreneurship & Innovation student) and Aleksander York Horner (Entrepreneurship & Innovation student)
The team is also looking to expand their team with a front-end developer. (contact NS@tempusnordic.com for questions or if you want a freelance job)
